Here's what to do in the event a Contractors & Builders employee is injured at your site:
  • Administer first aid to the injured employee, if necessary. In the event of a life-threatening injury, call 911.
  • Make sure the employee has reported the incident to the Eplica Injury Hotline: 888.237.1223. The injured employee must call the injury hotline before seeking treatment.
After the injury is reported:
  • A workers’ compensation specialist from Eplica, Inc. will authorize the employee to be sent to a clinic, if necessary. This authorization must be obtained prior to admittance so that the employee’s workers’ compensation benefits are not adversely affected.
  • The workers’ compensation specialist will take a statement from the employee to get the details of the injury or accident.
  • If possible, the employee will return to their assignment after treatment at the clinic.
All accidents and injuries will be thoroughly investigated. This includes conducting on-site inspections and obtaining witness statements. We also conduct post-accident drug tests.
