At Contractors & Builders, we take the time to get to know you and your career goals. Here's what you can expect once you submit a resume or pre-qualification application to a recruiter:
A recruiter will contact you by phone to discuss your work experience and career goals.
- Application. We will ask you to complete our full application. Please come prepared with your job history (including dates worked), professional references and documentation proving your eligibility to work in the United States.
- Safety Video. At C&B, safety is of the utmost importance. We will ask you to watch a video that demonstrates safe practices on construction sites.
- Personal interview. We will conduct a face-to-face interview with you to discuss your work history, strengths, future career plans, desired work environment, salary goals and personal schedule preferences.
Your recruiter will share your professional profile with the rest of the C&B team and collaborate on the best opportunities for you.
Once we find a position that matches your skills and experience, we'll discuss the details of the job with you. If you are interested in the position, we will present your qualifications to our client.
Most clients with direct-hire positions request a candidate interview before offering a position. We will facilitate the interview and provide you with contact and location information. After your interview, we share detailed feedback from the client on the meeting results.
If you are offered a direct-hire position, C&B will help negotiate a salary and benefits package that satisfies your requirements. Wages for temporary assignments are generally established ahead of time and will be shared with you before you agree to accept a job.
If you accept an offer, for either a temporary or direct-hire position, we stay in touch with both you and your new employer, and will always provide support and assistance in resolving any issues with your new position.
